tara - happy to see you

For those who have been keeping track on their scorecards at home ...

(if you actually have scorecards and want to share them with me that would be awesome, because I have no idea what's coming next).

Today, however, was a good day.

Woke up at 7:30 to do homework and practice for Japanese quiz, drove to Charter School to help kids with their final presentations, drove to college to meet with professor and study more for quiz and do final translation, had class, took quiz, made presentation of translation, had great conversation with Mom, had great conversation with [personal profile] elizabuffy , had bagel for dinner, went to Hawk & Miranda's for monthly drink night (tonight's classic was a Godfather - two parts whisky to one part amaretto - yummy but too sweet for me).

It was insanely busy, and I felt like I was running all day, and I got home late enough that I didn't take the dog for an hour walk so she's a little on the crazy side... but the important part?

I had a great time.  Oh, this morning was a little painful (you try waking up in order to translate classical Japanese - trust me, it may *sound* fun but ... yeah, still difficult).  And rushing into the evening was too (hey, no matter what time of the day LA traffic will always provide something to bitch about), but ... I just had fun.  Set my own schedule.  Did all the stuff I needed to do.  Am getting on with this thing called life.

So *hugs* to all you out there, cuz it's that kind of a day, where I want to give 'em all away.
