There is not a single used bookstore in this town that will take my old LKH books (or any of the other fantasy books I've decided to part with).  Not that I think they're particularly valuable (hence why I am willing to get rid of them), but seriously?  Not a single store?  WTF LA, WTF?

What is an LKH?

What we do is put things out on the wall with a sign "free - please take" and they usually go by the end of the day, could be worth a try? :)

AH - Laurel K. Hamilton, a semi-horrid writer of urban vampire novels (i used to read her, and now i enjoy when people mock her, and cannot read the books anymore)

And ooo! that's a good idea. I called the local library and they're having a drop off day tomorrow, so I may take them over there too!

Maybe they're tired of people trying to offload their LKHs on them?

nah, all the places i called got really snooty - there's no one here who actually sells used modern pulp-fiction (they were like 'if any of them are collectors editions we might take a look). I forgot that LA sucks if you're a reader.

LOL....I don't blame them.

not for the LKH stuff, but some of the other stuff wasn't that bad - i just found i had second copies of it!

Not surprising because I think you are the only person in LA who reads.
